Erchless Castle Estate needed a new website that reflected the character of the castle while making it easier to promote the estate’s accommodation, sporting activities, weddings and events. Project 404 designed and developed a bespoke WordPress site combining strong visual presentation with clear visitor information, destination content and straightforward booking and enquiry routes, supported by ongoing maintenance and technical support.

The Project
Project 404 designed and developed a new bespoke WordPress website for Erchless Castle Estate, creating a more flexible and engaging online presence for the business.
The site brings together the castle’s luxury accommodation, weddings and events, fishing and sporting activities, while also presenting the wider estate and its setting as an important part of the experience. Dedicated content helps visitors understand what is available before they arrive, from the castle itself and its grounds to fishing on the River Glass and exploring the surrounding Highland landscape.
We also developed extensive destination content covering things to see and do throughout the surrounding area, helping the website promote not only Erchless Castle but the wider Highlands as part of the guest experience. This includes local attractions, historic sites, castles, family activities and Highland events, giving visitors useful information when planning a longer stay. Similar destination-led content also features in our work for Ballindalloch Castle.
The website includes clear accommodation and enquiry information, practical travel guidance and content designed to support both search visibility and visitor confidence.
We continue to support Erchless Castle Estate with ongoing maintenance, updates, content development and technical support, helping the site evolve as the business grows and new experiences are introduced.
