Novar Estate

Novar Estate lies on the north side of the Cromarty Firth, with a history stretching back centuries and a landscape encompassing parkland, farms, rivers, woodland, moorland and upland grazing. Today it is a diverse working Highland estate combining forestry, renewable energy, farming, conservation, tourism and country sports, while continuing to play an important role in the surrounding communities.

Project 404 designed and developed a bespoke WordPress website capable of bringing together these many different strands in one clear and accessible platform. The site promotes the estate’s work in land management, forestry, renewables, accommodation, conservation and visitor experiences, while also reflecting its long-term approach to stewardship and its wider contribution to the local area.

The Project

Project 404 designed and developed a bespoke WordPress website to give the park a stronger and more flexible online presence. The new site makes it easier for visitors to plan and book their stay, with an integrated booking engine, responsive design and SEO optimisation throughout.

The site also includes dedicated sections for news, special offers and local information. We created content areas highlighting things to see and do around Braemar, helping the website work not just as a booking tool, but as a useful resource for visitors planning their time in Royal Deeside and exploring the wider area, including the Invercauld Estate.

We continue to support the site with ongoing maintenance, updates and technical support, helping to keep it secure, reliable and up to date as the park’s needs evolve.
