Novar Sawmill

Novar Sawmill needed a website that reflected both the heritage of the business and the sophistication of its modern manufacturing operation. Project 404 designed and developed a bespoke WordPress site showcasing timber sourced from the estate’s own forests, advanced machining capabilities and the sawmill’s ability to produce complex structural components, bespoke buildings and specialist timber projects.

The Project

Project 404 designed and developed a bespoke WordPress website for Novar Sawmill, creating a clearer and more contemporary online presence that better reflects the scale, craftsmanship and technical capability of the business.

At the heart of the sawmill is a modern production setup capable of creating highly detailed and complex timber structures using advanced CNC machining and precision cutting. Timber is sourced from Novar Estate’s own forests, giving the business close control over quality and allowing locally grown material to be taken from forest to finished component within the estate.

The site brings together the sawmill’s core product areas, including cladding, stock timber, beams, timber frames, outbuildings, modular buildings and bespoke projects. Particular emphasis was placed on demonstrating the range of work the sawmill can undertake, from straightforward timber products to large, technically demanding structures requiring accuracy, repeatability and specialist machining.

We continue to support the site with ongoing maintenance, updates and technical support, helping keep it secure, reliable and flexible as the business and its capabilities continue to develop.
